Why not Condomise?

There is an epidemic in our society. Go to the north, south, west, east and you will find it especially in the cities.

Although it not an infectious disease, but its rapid spread is why i label it as an epidemic.

Teenage pregnancy has become the norm in our society and if not properly checked, i fear the society will be heading to somewhere i can't really envisage for now(it may be good or bad).

The epidemic has increased the rate of unmarried teen single mothers and this left me wondering if they are given birth to compete with their peers or to earn respect over their peers. But if this is not the reason, why not condomise?

Oh am not going to preach for you to zip-up or abstain from sex(its good and honorable thing to do anyway) but why not use a condom or insist on your partner using it? wink..

  1. I was on the Bus once, and overheard a group of teenage girls (the oldest was probably 16) talking about their pregnancies and how the government was going to help them take care of their kids (not in Naija obviously). I was sad that they did not even consider what this means for their future. Education has been thrown out the back door. A chance to better one's self.

Abstinence is still the best form. But we know that people are not adhering to that, so the next best thing is birth control, condoms included.
